Inactivity, severe obesity (BMI > 35 kg/m2), acanthosis nigricans
IGT, IFG or prediabetes: restest annualy

The US Preventive Services Task Force recommends diabetes screening as part of a cardiovascular risk assessment in asymptomatic adults who are overweight or obese and aged between 40 and 70. Individuals with a history of PCOS< GDM, and those of higher-risk racial and ethnic groups should be considered for screening at younger ages and lower body mass indexes.
